We chose Better Than Revenge by Taylor Swift because we both enjoy this song a lot, and it also fits into the theme we chose. We chose to make a satirical statement about the corrupt system of nepotism in Hollywood, and how opportunities are often stolen from people who do not come from wealth because of people who build their career off of connections. The original lyrics of this song fit in well with this statement, so although it was challenging, we had a lot of freedom in how we chose to integrate our own lyrics into the original ones. Overall, this project was a fun activity that pushed us out of our comfort zone and tested our creative skills, and made me appreciate the hard work people put into song production and song writing.
